Auto Transport to Military Bases

The military has its own way of shipping military vehicles to military bases. Normally, such movements are done away from the public eye. Military car shipping involves the transport of military trucks, official cars or private cars owned by military officials to military bases. It does not include armored vehicles or military combat vehicles such as tanks. The military does not contract just any auto transporter. They hire car shipping companies that exclusively ship military vehicles to their bases, because it is not good for the public to know activities and schedules of the military.

Transporting military vehicles is usually done on Amtrak or a few preferred private auto transport companies. When shipping within the United States, the military makes sure that they get cargo shipping insurance that covers any and ally damages that could happen during the transport.

The military hire shipping companies that regularly make a route to military bases. They are known to those military bases and, therefore, have been issued gate pass and ID. They are also familiar with how the military operates. Often, a car shipping company works exclusively with certain branches of the military and to various specific military bases. These preferred companies know that it is the military who is paying their service and so they feel that they are doing service to their country. This is why they work at their best.

Servicemen also enjoy the service of car shipping companies who are sympathetic to the military and loyal to the country. These are companies that are willing to go the extra mile; companies that show a deep understanding and respect for the military and the government.

As a military serviceman or officer gets assigned to a new base and needs to contract a car shipper, he or she asks for a list of transport companies that regularly service the US Army and other branches of the US Armed Forces. Car transportation inside military bases and within the Army is done by a certified solder. These are servicemen specifically assigned to work in the auto sector of the military.
