Auto Transport Review Websites
The best source of information when planning to have your car shipped are the people you know best – friends, family members and relatives. If you are hiring a car shipping company for the first time, it is very helpful to first consult friends or family who had past experiences in car shipping and may already know a reliable shipper. You can ask them any problem they may have encountered as well as the advantages of hiring the company they know, how much they cost and how friendly their people were.
If you are among the few who do not know anyone who has first-hand experience in car shipping, consult the Internet for auto transport review websites. You will find these websites very helpful as you read several reviews written by unbiased customers. They talk about what they like and don’t like about a certain auto transport company.
A sample review from a shipping customer said, "This was my first experience shipping a car and, while it was just a Smart car - nothing exotic or terribly valuable, I was apprehensive. My car shipping company was responsive and stayed on top of things. The first carrier did not work out but she had a back up within hours. The driver was responsive and did exactly what he said he would do when he said he would do it. Car arrived on time; actually I think the driver had to back track a bit to meet my schedule but he was great about it. No fuss, no muss!"
Also, "The vehicle shipping experience was outstanding! My auto transport company took a bad experience and totally turned it around for me, I was called by dozens of companies after requesting a quote on line, all wanted such high prices and they gave me a week or longer before they could deliver the car. First available space, I have never had a car carried before, some companies wanted me to pay up front, other companies wanted me to pay through PayPal, while some of them demanded that I use them. As I knew nothing about this industry or less of how it worked and what it would cost, (my shipper) gave me a cost that fit my budget. Others charged from $800.00 to a $1000.00 to do this, which was totally out of my reach.
While others are not as friendly: "Oh my god, where do I start? I was told that the car will be picked up in 1 to 7 days considering the holidays. I signed up for the service on 26th Dec. So I waited until January 7th without bothering them. Oh, god, from then on, they never called me. I am the one who called them up all the time, every freakin’ day and get the same cold responses…. All their responses are b******t. I don’t believe them. It’s January 15th today, and they still haven't even found a driver yet. Can you believe that? … I am hoping no one signs up for this service."
While auto transport review websites are very helpful and informative, consumers should always be careful since a number of car shipping companies intentionally put up their own reviews and tell only good things about themselves. They could even write bad reviews about their competition. They hire and pay people to write such reviews.
